Stu and Sarah from Lost Sheep on early travels in campervan in Australia

The Lost Sheep Journey

In 2011 we quit our careers working the 9-5 (although it was more like an 8-8) to spend a year backpacking across the world! When we arrived in Melbourne, Australia we discovered Aussie style coffee and we knew instantly that we had to bring this style of coffee back to the UK. We didn’t realise it at the time but at that moment, Lost Sheep Coffee was born.

In 2012 we purchased a three wheeled micro coffee van and pitched up on Canterbury high street. Our aim was simple, introduce our local community to Aussie Speciality Coffee. In 2014 we upgraded to our Lost Sheep Coffee Pod and in 2015 we opened a second location in Ashford, at the McArthur Glenn Designer Outlet.

In 2017 we upgraded our Canterbury Pod and opened what would become our award winning Speciality Coffee Roastery in Whitstable, Kent. We roast and send out beans and capsules to our wonderful customers all over the world as well as suppling our fantastic wholesale customers.

Selection of Lost Sheep Coffee subscription coffee pods

2020 saw us start our subscription service, introduce our Fifty Fifty Nespresso Capsule and begin selling our Compostable Capsules in selected Morrisons stores. 2021 is an even bigger year for Lost Sheep, with our capsules now available on Amazon, Supermarkets beginning to stock our coffee and much more to come.
