Le Bezy is situated in the South of France and has recently become one of our latest Lost Sheep Coffee, Speciality Coffee wholesale clients.

Within this interview, we will get to know James and Amy at Le Bezy. You’ll find out how they got started, what they have on offer at Le Bezy and so much more! It’s a really interesting interview, and we just know you’re going to love it.

Lost Sheep Coffee is now in the South of France…amazing right! So let’s get stuck in, shall we?

1. What’s your story? What is Le Bezy?

So, we are James & Amy Carter and we are originally from South East Kent in the UK. After spending all our professional lives living and working in and around Canterbury James was offered a position in Abu Dhabi. After almost 5 years in the Middle East, we were ready to come back to Europe and wanted a lifestyle change.
Le Bezy – We see Le Bezy as a lifestyle. First and foremost, we are a boutique Bed and Breakfast that also offers evening meals or Table d’hote as the French would say. We feel we have created somewhere people can come to relax, recharge and reconnect with themselves or with the beautiful great outdoors and as we are keen cyclists ourselves there is always the option to ride.

2. Why us? What made you choose Lost Sheep Coffee as your coffee provider?

As avid cyclists and lovers of all things outdoors coffee seems to go hand in hand with what we are passionate about! It is important to us that we serve quality coffee and just as important is that it’s ethically sourced, fairly traded and packaged with the environment in mind. There seem to be more companies now that are heading down this road which is great news for everyone. Lost Sheep coffee reminds us of walking through Canterbury and visiting their pod at the back of Fenwicks back in 2012 and 2013. Finally, somewhere that served great-tasting coffee and more importantly seemed to care about what they were serving. We did not realise the rise Lost Sheep Coffee had had since then and when looking for coffee for our place there was no doubt in our minds, they were for us. We love supporting independent small companies, especially ones so local to our beginnings.

3. Other than having delicious coffee available, why should people visit you?

We believe we have something special and want to share it with like-minded folks. This part of the Occitanie region in southern France is relatively undiscovered by the masses that flood the Cote d’Azur. Under an hour away from the stunning city of Toulouse with its excellent airport and train links with the rest of Europe, we are in the ‘real’ South of France on the doorstep of the Pyrenees. Take a step out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and come and find us. With such a variety of Landscape with the wilds of the Ariege Mountains and the rolling almost Tuscan-like vista of the Aude, not to mention the historical and most visited city in France only 2nd to Paris of Carcassonne just a short drive or ride away. Add that to our Farmhouse with its mix of eclectic vintage unique décor with modern twists, a private pool, homemade food, and a super laid-back feel. You will not go wrong with a stay at Le Bezy.

4. As Le Bezy is in such a beautiful place. Can you describe to us the wonderful views people can take in whilst enjoying a cup of coffee?

From our Club room, you can gaze out across the valley opposite with its tailored farmland (time it right in July for the Sunflowers) or from the balcony over the pool to our small woodland – where you can let time pass by watching birds of prey or spotting deer and wild boar. If that all sounds a bit too much …. Lay back in our hammock and enjoy the warm gentle breeze of a summer sunrise with your first caffeine hit of the day.

5. Can you summarise Le Bezy in just three words?

Relaxed Unique Experience

So there you are folks. You can now experience Lost Sheep Coffee over in the South of France at the wonderful Le Bezy. We predict that everyone reading this will want to pay them a visit pronto because we know we felt like that in the office when we first checked out James and Amy’s website! Could do with a lay down on that lilo.

Please check out the Le Bezy website for more information, and they’re also on Instagram too so for sure give them a follow.
